A Dental Technician is an important part of the dental team that does not usually come in to contact with patients. They are responsible for producing a whole range of dental appliances and these include dentures, crown and bridge, sports mouth guards and the list goes on. These appliances are then supplied to the patient via a dentist or in some cases a dental Therapist, Hygienist or Clinical Dental Technician.
A Clinical Dental Technician can produce all the same appliances as a regular Dental Technician but they can also treat patients that need new dentures or denture adjustments.
A huge advantage to you because it removes any issues that may arise due to miscommunication between all parties involved. If you want your new teeth to be set in a certain angle or be a certain length for example, a Clinical Dental Technician can work with you to whilst you are in the chair. Another advantage is that most of the work is done within the same building and it does not have to be sent through the post where delays and damage can occur.
